Renee is a Paralegal Manager at Ross, Brittain & Schonberg (RBS). She began her employment with RBS in 1994. Her specialized Ohio Workers’ Compensation background began in 1990. Renee assists both employers and the RBS attorneys in the defense of self-insured and state-funded workers’ compensation claims at the administrative and trial court level.
She reviews and analyzes the initial report of injury; obtains, review and summarizes all pertinent claim materials; contacts the Employers, State Representatives and Opposing Counsel to determine the best defense in each claim. Renee orchestrates client claim review meetings, prepares self-insured status request applications to the Ohio BWC, and prepares correspondence and BWC/IC documents and filings.
In her supervisor role at the firm she is in charge of recruitment, hiring, supervision and training of Paralegals, Paralegal Assistants and Paralegal Interns.
Renee was raised in Brook Park, Ohio and currently resides in Lagrange with her husband Steve. Renee and Steve have two children; Jacob, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toledo and Krisandra, currently pursuing a degree in Nursing at Ursuline College, Pepper Pike.
