Nicholas W. Lanphear Associate

Nick devotes his practice to the defense of employers in the area of labor and employment law. After attending Michigan State University for undergrad, Nick graduated cum laude from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. While in law school, Nick externed with Judge Michael P. Donnelly in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas and gained valuable experience in how the court works.

Nick has represented large and small employers in court, as well as before the Ohio Industrial Commission, Ohio Civil Rights Commission, National Labor Relations Board, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Nick advises employers as all facets of labor and employment law, including the proper defense of workers’ compensation claims and the impact in premium and cost.

Nick lives with his wife and dog in Worthington, Ohio and enjoys hiking, photography, and binge-watching the latest Netflix shows. When time permits, he travels to Northern Michigan where he spends time at his family’s cottage on Big Platte Lake.
